J. Henry Fair
Henry Fair is a New York based environmentalist and photographer. His Series “Industrial Scars” is intended to bring our attention to the tragic effects created by human impact on our planet. His subjects include exploitation of our natural systems perpetuated on a regular basis by paper mills, oil companies, fracking, farming, coal and steel mining operations to implement our daily needs: Energy, Food and Raw Materials. As for him, an image must be both meaningful and beautiful his message is clear: he wants to reveal the evidence of the devastating costs of our choices on our planet captured in painfully beautiful images and panoramic vistas. The picture on screen shows Molten Sulphur in Fort McMurray, Canada: a vivid photography, evoking ideas of abstract painting.
