Happy 100. Birthday Heinrich Böll!
On this day, 21.December 2017, Heinrich Böll (1917-1985) would have turned 100 years old.
The formerly Cologne based author is considered one of Germany’s foremost post-World War II writers. Böll was awarded the Georg Büchner Prize in 1967 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1972.
